The Future of Kirkcaldy

Since being elected, I have made it my mission to secure funding to help renew Kirkcaldy’s town centre. I was delighted to secure a commitment from Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rachel Reeves MP, to make this happen. She named Kirkcaldy as one of only three locations across the UK to receive priority access to a new multi-million pound Growth Mission Fund. This is a great opportunity to start making positive changes, and I want to hear your ideas to help shape what happens next.

This is hopefully just the first phase in a wider, long-term renewal for Kirkcaldy. The budget isn’t unlimited and it will take time. It matters to me that local voices are heard right from the start.

How it works:

While the funding I secured for Kirkcaldy is coming from the UK Government, the final plan which sets out how it will be spent will be produced by Fife Council.

I wanted to ensure that residents’ voices are heard by the Council in this process. I designed my survey to give you the chance to share your ideas with me so I can pass them on directly to the Council to help inform their plans.  I will also be organising local events where you can share your views with me and the Council in person.

Your views matter. You can find the results of my survey here.

Thank you for taking the time to fill out my survey. Every idea helps to shape Kirkcaldy’s future.
